How do I prepare for a bridal trial?
Begin with your usual morning cleanser to ensure your skin is fresh and ready.
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face, but feel free to skip this if it’s uncomfortable for you.
Kindly bring reference images of makeup looks you are drawn to, as this will assist in communicating your desired style for the trial. Additionally, selecting images with similar facial features to yours can provide a more accurate idea of how the look will suit you.
If you plan to wear a fake tan on your wedding day, consider applying it before the trial to get an accurate reflection of your overall look. I’d suggest to have your tan applied two days before.
Wear a cream or ivory-colored top to ensure the makeup’s colors appear as they truly will on your wedding day, as other colors may alter the way the makeup looks.
How should I prepare my skin for a makeup trial?
If you're booking your makeup several months in advance of your wedding, it's a great idea to review your current skincare routine. While skincare advice can be offered during your trial, keep in mind that trials typically occur 2-3 months before the wedding, so there may be limited time to establish your ideal routine.
For optimal results, I recommend following a simple yet effective skincare routine, such as:
Cleanse your face both morning and night.
Use a hydrating face serum in the morning, ideally with hyaluronic acid.
Exfoliate once a week to remove dead skin cells.
Moisturize daily to keep your skin hydrated.
Apply SPF daily to protect your skin from sun damage.
How and when should I arrange my makeup trial?
After securing your wedding date with a deposit, simply contact me via phone or email to arrange your trial. I recommend scheduling it 6-8 weeks before the wedding, as skin and hair conditions may change, along with any adjustments to your style or accessories. However, if you’d prefer to have your trial sooner, I’m happy to accommodate that as well.
Is a trial necessary?
Yes, a trial is strongly recommended prior to the wedding day to ensure you’re completely confident with your makeup. This way, when the big day arrives, you can relax knowing everything is in place, and you and your bridal party will look stunning!
When is the final payment due?
The final invoice will be sent to you via email 2 weeks before your wedding day.
